Overview: Our clients needed a larger
primary suite with independent office space and also
wanted improved garage access.
Challenge: The house was an unimproved
1955 developer’s one-story ranch on a sloped site with a
basement level front facing garage. The garage access
was originally located incorrectly at the front of the
house, only allowing access for one vehicle.
Solution: The new primary suite was
constructed over the existing first floor that included
an elegant bath, separate his/her walk-in closets and a
separate office. The basement garage entrance was
relocated to the side yard to allow for two full size
vehicles, and the driveway was reconstructed with
retaining walls to allow for ample turnaround space. The
outcome transformed the home visually and functionally.
